Hello to you too! 🙂
I began my career as a S/W Engineer and later graduated to an Architect implementing technology solutions. After 10 years of doing that, I wanted to be an end-to-end solutions provider. This led me to pursue my Master’s degree in Management at Harvard.
I have now been a Technical Program Manager at Health Connector (2007-2014) and Atlantic Broadband (2014-present) and I love it!! I get to work with my customers directly, understand their pain points and then build features/products that solve those critical problems for them.
I’m very proud to have worked on the implementation of Health Care Reform at the State level and later on the Massachusetts edition of Obamacare aka Affordable Care Act – to be very clear this initiative was different than the one done at the federal Level (HealthCare.gov) – that was done by a different team for a different organization.
So back in MA, I lead a cross-functional team that developed all the external APIs between the Connector portal and its trading partners and I was also the lead on one of three main modules on the portal. I was responsible for some major feature additions, such as integration of Provider Search, that were put into effect nationwide.
Technology might be complex to some, but I think if used effectively, it can simplify our lives.
I am also a semi-professional musician and have raised funds for several charities. A highlight of this parallel career came on Jan 7, 2011 when I was part of a quartet that sang the Canadian and American National Anthems at a Boston Celtics pre-game event …
And finally, all opinions on this blog are my own and do not represent the views of the organizations that I have worked for.
I certainly value your feedback, please do opine on topics that interest you.
